Mandate

The committee provides a forum to review appeals against disciplinary and internal federation decisions, ensuring fairness, transparency, and clear interpretation of regulations when needed.

Roles

  • Review decisions: provide a platform to reconsider disciplinary or internal rulings that parties have appealed.
  • Ensure fairness: confirm appealed decisions were reached fairly and transparently, weighing all evidence and arguments.
  • Legal interpretation: clarify laws and regulations when their application is ambiguous.

Responsibilities

  • Receive appeals and confirm they meet requirements for review.
  • Verify procedures leading to the appealed decision followed regulations correctly.
  • Analyze and evaluate evidence submitted by all relevant parties.
  • Issue decisions to uphold, modify, or overturn the original ruling based on evidence and regulations.
  • Communicate appeal outcomes clearly and promptly to all parties.
  • Maintain accurate records of appeals, evidence, discussions, and decisions.
  • Contribute to reviewing and updating internal regulations and procedures for effective appeals.
